Van Gogh AiR heeft het genoegen u uit te nodigen voor een Open Studio van Emmanuel Selva op vrijdag 30 en zaterdag 31 mei 2025 van 14:00 – 17:00 uur in de Vlaamse Schuur op Landgoed De Moeren, Moersebaan 1-sch in Klein-Zundert.

Emmanuel Selva heeft in april en mei 2025 gewerkt in het gastatelier van het Vincent van GoghHuis op Landgoed de Moeren. Deze residentie is onderdeel van een samenwerking met Mons en Cuesmes in de Borinage.

‘I enjoy working with non-existent memories, as if memories are futile and secondary. My recent works focus on the elements around me, my emotions and feelings. This is a way of understanding the environment, which is especially important in a residency like this one. Color often emerges and becomes visible, almost vocal. I draw my strength from color and the expression of gestures; in this way, painting comes to life. My work primarily focuses on memory and the concept of the double, in relation to our existence. Man is neither past nor future; only the present matters’, aldus Selva.
