Van Gogh inspires

From November 13, 2022 to March 5, 2023, the Vincent van GoghHuis presents the exhibition ‘Van Gogh inspires’. Recent acquisitions from the museum collection make it clear that Van Gogh is still a current source of inspiration for contemporary artists.

There are works by artists who have worked in one of the guest studios, in the old sexton’s house next to the Van Gogh church and the Flemish barn on Landgoed De Moeren. They were inspired by Van Gogh’s native village and the surrounding nature reserves. The bronze sculpture Rückkehr der Giganten (Van Gogh und Gauguin) by Rainer Fetting will also be presented. The German artist has donated this monumental statue to the collection of the Van GoghHuis.

With works by: Mike Dings, Jochem Rotteveel, Femke Dekkers, Ema Vanekova, Ingrid Simons, Carmen Schabracq, Jenetta de Konink, Tosja van Lieshout, Sylvie Zijlmans & Hewald Jongenelis, Cedric ter Bals, Sabina Timmermans, Gam Bodenhausen, Rolina Nell, Koen Hauser, Emmy Bergsma, Ruud van Empel, Matijs van de Kerkhof, Rainer Fetting and Karina Beumer.
